Manufacturing-ready 3D footwear design combining canvas upper construction with a boot-inspired sole, developed through an approval-driven workflow for Bagabaga Official.

Project Overview

Bagabaga Official planned to launch a unique footwear product by combining the comfort-focused nature of canvas shoes with the bold and structured form of boots. The objective of this project was to convert the client’s concept into a precise, manufacturing-ready 3D shoe model that could be directly used in production, along with finalized color variations.

Client Requirement

The client shared detailed descriptions, graphic references, and concept files to define the design direction. The upper body of the shoe needed to follow canvas cloth construction, while the sole had to reflect a boot-style structure based on the provided concept. Regular updates and approval checkpoints were required to ensure accuracy throughout the process.

Design Challenge

Canvas footwear is typically soft, flexible, and relaxed in form, while boots rely on rigidity and strong structural definition. The main challenge was applying canvas material behavior onto a boot-based silhouette without losing comfort, realism, or production feasibility. Balancing these opposing characteristics was critical for a successful outcome.


Design & Development Process

The process began with a detailed analysis of all client-provided references and design intent. The canvas upper structure was developed first to establish correct material flow and proportions. A boot-style sole was then created using the approved client concept and integrated with the upper body. The complete shoe was finalized as a single optimized 3D model suitable for manufacturing. Design progress was shared regularly, and refinements were made based on client feedback until final approval.


Color Development

Once the base shoe design was approved, color development was carried out in coordination with the client. All color variations were created using the same master 3D model to maintain consistency across production.

Client Review & Approval

The project followed a structured approval workflow to avoid production-stage risks. Shape, material behavior, and color accuracy were validated step by step. The final design was locked only after full confirmation from the client, ensuring alignment with brand vision and manufacturing requirements.


Final Outcome

The final deliverable was a fully manufacturable 3D canvas–boot fusion shoe model with three approved color variants. The approved design was successfully taken into production, and the manufactured shoe closely matched the finalized 3D visuals shown in the final production video.
